On this page are listed all of the fetishes I have completed and for sale . Please check in often because I will frequently delete and add new ones as items are sold. I don't try make these in a cookie cutter fashion, so no two are really alike. Each style may have the same silhouette apperance but in the carving process I use what is termed artistic license. I try to give each one just a little bit different apperance, eather carving or the painted finish.
******************** Just a little about the fetish animals, the Native Americans ones are made of many different stones, usually quite small an inch or two long. They are carried in a pouch around their neck or on their belt. They have many beliefs about their power, each animal or bird repersents certain things to their people. My desire to do my interpretation in wood is just that I love the lore behind their thoughts and the meaning of the animals to them. My interpretation are just art and are made to sit on a desk, end or coffee table and if you believe as they, their may be some luck in owning one.

Animal symbolism
To the Native American each animal suggest certain characteristics or
qualities and they choose these to enhance their lives.
Bear - Strength, healing, introspection
Wolf - Commitiment, sociability, stamina
Badger - Tenacity, stamina, passion
Buffalo - Power, strength, abundance
Mountain Lion - Leadership, preperation, agility

You will notice that I call some of the bears hunting ( head up ) and others medicine (head down ). This is some more of the lore and beliefs of the Native Americans.

Each fetish has a clear acrylic four inch ( 4" ) five sided cube for a dust cover to protect the carving. With the cube being 4", the height will be about
4 1/2" with base, some shorter, where noted.

Number 3..... This walnut hunting bear, on a maple base. $62.00 includes S/H & Ins.
Number 5.....This basswood painted with leather dyes electric blue~ walking ~hunting bear, on a maple base. $ 62.00 includes S/H & Ins. The acrylic cube will be 2" tall making the height with base 2 1/2". This is done because of the low nature of this bear and it would not look right to have a 4" high box on it.
