This eagle head belt buckle is a poured two/part white urethane and painted with acrylics on the dark outer edge and oil paints on the eagle itself. Size 3 1/4" across 3" top to bottom. The orginal was carved from an elk butt, located at the base of the antlers and the point where the antlers fall off every fall to grow anew in the spring/summer, this is true of most of antlered deer like animals. If man doesn't get to them very quickly after they fall/knocked off they are consumed by mice, porcupines, skunks and other animals as they are very high in calcium and minerals.
